FTSE rises in early trade
European stocks steadied on Friday as finance leaders held pivotal talks to avert a Greek default, a day after a stock leap when central banks promised dollars for banks hit by the debt crisis.
In morning deals, London's FTSE 100 index rose 0.22 percent to 5,349.40 points.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 gained 0.77 percent to 5,548.73 points and in Paris the CAC 40 dipped 0.30 percent to 3,036.64 points. Madrid fell 0.47 percent, Milan won 0.20 percent and Stockholm rose 0.25 percent.
Milan dived 3.0 percent and Madrid 2.21 percent.
