WPP says buys majority stake in Vietnam PR group

WPP, the British advertising group, said it had acquired a majority stake in T&A Communications, a public relations and events company based in Vietnam, for an undisclosed amount.

"This investment continues WPP's strategy of developing its networks in fast growing markets and sectors," the company said in a statement.

WPP said the stake had been bought by its wholly-owned operating company, Ogilvy, the global marketing services network.

Founded in 2001, Hanoi-based T&A's clients include Boeing, Canon, France Telecom, Standard Chartered Bank and Yahoo, said WPP.
