American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings Inc., up $1.02 at $7.34
An analyst upgraded the auto parts maker, saying that expectations of a deal with its lenders and a cash infusion from General Motors Co. have helped ease concerns over the company's liquidity.
Progressive Corp., up 19 cents at $16.86
An analyst upgraded the low-cost insurer by two notches on the theory the company could benefit from consumers shopping around.
EnCana Corp., up $4.34 at $58.97
The energy company announced that its board of directors unanimously voted in favor of plans to split into two distinct companies.
National Semiconductor Corp., down 94 cents at $15.03
Analysts were split over the chip maker's first-quarter results, with some expecting a snapback in sales and others expressing doubts.
NASDAQ:
Rosetta Resources Inc., up $1.23 at $14.65
The oil and gas company affirmed its capital budget and said it expects to build cash and maintained its full-year production outlook.
