China A-shares closed sharply lower, with investors dumping stocks following sell-offs in the Hong Kong and US markets, dealers said.. Analysts added that investors were also worried about the disruptive effect of heavy snowfall over large parts of China, delaying transport and coal supplies and causing power failures in many provinces.. Shares fell across the board, with transport and power stocks hit the hardest.. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index closed down 342.39 points or 7.19 pct at 4,419.29, the lowest level in more than five months..
